Concerned Nebraskans for Cystic Fibrosis
We were honored to be a participating donor for the Concerned Nebraskans for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) 65 Roses benefit. The name “Sixty-Five Roses” is what some children with Cystic Fibrosis call their disease because the words are much easier for them to pronounce. Held at the Pla Mor Ballrrom every February, this fundraising event provides scholarships, grants, and funds to promote higher education of CF patients and help with the high expenses families acquire due to treatments, doctor and hospital bills, and transplants.
You may be like us who knows little about this illness that affects 30,000 kids and adults in the U.S. What Cystic Fibrosis is, is a life-threatening disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system. People with CF inherit a defective gene that causes a buildup of thick mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.
